..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned Circular in P/C/2022-23/O064A dated 22.09.2022 issued by the 3rd respondent, quash the same and consequently direct the 1st

respondent to conduct a fair and transparent re-election for the Senate member by appointing the 2nd respondent as a returning officer and to pass a suitable order.

O R D E R

Challenge in this writ petition is to the order of the 3rd respondent dated 22.09.2022, in and by which, the 4th respondent was selected as Senate Member and for a consequential direction to the 1st respondent to conduct a fair and transparent re-election for the Senate member by appointing the 2nd respondent as a returning officer.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, it is represented that the selection of senate member pertaining to the period from 2022 to 2025 which was impugned herein was already over. Hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.

3. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
