SUB APPLICATION No.665 of 2022 in CONTEMPT PETITION No.1522 of 2022 S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.

The sub application has been filed to delete the applicants namely 1.The Government of Tamil Nadu represented by Additional Secretary, Public (Political Pension) Department, Secretariat, Fort St. George, Chennai-9, 2.The Collector of Thiruvallur, Thiruvallur - 602 001 and 3.The Tahsildar of Ponneri, Ponneri - 601 204 from the cause title of the contempt petition.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the applicants in the sub application made a submission that the petitioners are unnecessary parties and therefore, the application is to be allowed on the ground of mis-joinder of parties in the contempt petition.

3. The 1st respondent / contempt petitioner seeks Central Freedom Fighters Pension and therefore, the State Authorities have no role to consider the said grievances of the contempt petitioner. 4. Accordingly, the names of the applicants are directed to be deleted in the cause title of the contempt petition. Consequently, the Sub Application No.665 of 2022 in Contempt Petition No.1522 of 2022 is allowed.
