This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents to count the service rendered by the petitioner in the respondent board on contract basis as Medical Officer from 06.09.1995 to 22.08.1997 for the purpose of selection grade, special grade, pensionary benefits by considering the representations made by the petitioner.
2. Heard Mr.R.D.Ashok Kumar, learned counsel appearing for petitioner and Mr.C.Manoharan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents.

3. In the considered view of this Court, the relief sought for by the petitioner is clearly hit by laches. In the instant case, the claim made by the petitioner was rejected as early as on 07.02.2005 by the second respondent. Even thereafter, the petitioner was only making representations till 2024 and she never approached this Court to work out her remedy. In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief as sought for by the petitioner.
