Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pass orders on the petitioners representation dated 10.07.2024 in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

The petitioners herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 10.07.2024 and pass final order, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioners that the petitioners and their father were affected by the acquisition made by the second respondent for establishing Kalpakkam atomic power station. The Government acquired land in Salavankuppam Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District for the purpose of providing alternative sites to the persons affected by the acquisition proceedings. 49 persons were already issued patta and the remaining lands are kept for the purpose of allocation of land to poor people. The petitioners submitted a representation on 10.07.2024 seeking allotment of free house sites and the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioners are before this Court.

3. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that the representation of the petitioners will be considered, on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.07.2024 subject to the eligibility of the petitioners and pass final order, on its own merits, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
