ORDER

Mr.E.Francis Charles has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to pass appropriate orders for revision of seniority of the petitioner by reckoning the date of handing over the Aided Middle School of State Government on 11.03.2006 as per the letter of consent given by the petitioner as well as the proposal forwarded by the third respondent in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Na.Ka.No.37/A1/2006 dated 15.03.2006 and consequently promote the petitioner to the post of Assistant Elementary Educational Officer by transfer in the existing vacancy in Coimbatore District, based on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 11.02.2016, within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

2. Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By the representation dated 11.2.2016, the petitioner has requested the second respondent to fix his seniority in the post of Middle School Headmaster with effect from 10.3.2006, on the basis of the proposal forwarded by the third respondent in Na.Ka.No.37/A1/2006 dated 15.03.2006, for consideration of promotion to the post of Assistant Elementary Educational Officer by transfer. Since the said representation has not been considered till date by the second respondent, he has come to this Court.

4. Considering the nature of relief sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.2.2016 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, W.M.P.No.7088 of 2016 is closed. No costs.
