2.The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition seeking for issuance of Mandamus forbearing the respondents from allotting free house site at S.No.226/2 Bahoor Revenue Village, Puducherry without inviting application and affording opportunities to all eligible candidates to apply for the same and identify the beneficiaries and prepare the list of beneficiaries of house sites on the basis of the Puducherry house site/house allotment (under the Scheme provisions of house sites/houses to Scheduled Caste) Rules 1981 to the Schedule Caste people of Puducherry Origin, including the members of the petitioner Scheduled Caste People Social Justice Movement Sangam. 3.
Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate (Pondicherry) submitted that the process for issuance of patta in the Bahoor Revenue Village, Puducherry, has not been commenced and the same will be allotted after following the procedure contemplated under the Scheme. 4.In view of the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Pondicherry), there is no need to pass any specific orders in this writ petition. Hence, recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Pondicherry), this writ petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
