O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by Mr.V.Ramachandran seeking a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of his representation dated 22.1.2016.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he registered his name in the Employment Exchange on 24.6.1994. As per seniority in the Employment Exchange, he was called for the interview for the post of Junior Assistant (Training) by Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation, Kancheepuram District. He appeared for the interview on 5.4.2013. According to him, though he was selected in the interview, he was not given any appointment order. Hence, he made a representation to the first respondent on 22.1.2016. Since action is not yet taken, he has come to this Court with the aforesaid prayer.

3. This Court is not able to consider the prayer made by the petitioner for the reason that he has come to this Court belatedly. In fact, when the petitioner was called to participate in the interview conducted on 5.4.2013 by the Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation, Kancheepuram District, he ought to have immediately rushed to this Court, after waiting for some reasonable time. Since long delay had occurred between the date of interview and the date of representation, the petitioner is to be held guilty of laches. Hence, the writ petition fails and the same is dismissed. No costs.
