O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Kasirajan, learned counsel, who took notice for the respondent and with their consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for hearing.

2. The petitioner Mr.A.Settu was dismissed from service on 16.2.2015 by the disciplinary authority, against which he has preferred an appeal before the respondent on 12.3.2015. The said appeal has been filed within 30 days from the date of original dismissal order. Therefore, he has come to this Court seeking a direction to the respondent for early disposal of the pending appeal.

3.Considering the fact that the petitioner had been dismissed from service, the pending appeal needs to be disposed of. Further, the petitioner has also sent a representation to the respondent on 20.10.2015 and the postal acknowledgment of the said representation also shows that he has filed the same on 20.10.2015. Therefore, the respondent is hereby directed to consider and dispose of the appeal dated 12.3.2015 preferred by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
