This petition has been filed to extend the order granted in Crl.O.P.No.14296 of 2024 dated 03.07.2024.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that this Court vide order dated 03.07.2024 in Crl.O.P.No.14296 of 2024, directed the respondent police to complete the investigation within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and also directed not to arrest the petitioner till then. He further submitted that only recently, the respondent police had issued summon to appear before them for investigation, therefore, prayed this Court for extending the interim protection granted to the petitioner, till completion of the investigation. 3.

The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the respondent police had issued summon to the petitioner for investigation, however, the petitioner had not appeared and co-operated for the investigation.

Considering the submissions made on both sides and also taking into consideration of the fact that the summon has been issued by the respondent police only recently to the petitioner, this Court directs the petitioner to co-operate for the investigation and the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

Till then the respondent police is directed not to take any coercive action against the petitioner.
