The petitioner herein seeks bail pending investigation in Cr.No.257 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police for the offence under Section 307 of IPC.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is innocent and she has been falsely implicated in this case in Cr.No.257 of 2023 for the offence under Section 307 of IPC. Thus, he seeks bail to the petitioner.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) opposed this petition, stating that, injured is the daughter-in-law of the petitioner herein. It appears that, there was a property dispute. It is stated that the face of the victim was covered with a cloth and thereafter, she was injured with knife. Thus, he prays for dismissal of this petition. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

4. Taking into the consideration the gravity of the offence and the injuries sustained by the defacto-complainant, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
