O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 01.07.2024 seeking reclassification and issuance of patta in respect of the property situated in Survey No.58/1 and Survey No.58/6 at Venkatesapuram Village, Shoolagiri Taluk, Hosur, Krishnagiri District.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he owned the above mentioned property and he has been doing cultivation in the said property for several years. Therefore, he submitted a representation dated 01.07.2024 before the respondents seeking re-classification of the said land and issuance of patta and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that re-classification of land can be 2/5

done only after issuance of notice to interested parties based on the representation submitted by the petitioner before the competent authority. He further submits that the petitioner has not produced any acknowledgment card for having submitted the representation.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the petitioner to file a fresh representation before the Commissioner of Land Administration, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any such representation is submitted by the petitioner within the time stipulated, the Commissioner of Land Administration shall consider the same and pass final orders, on merits, after issuing notice to all interested parties, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter. A copy of this order be marked to the Commissioner of Land Administration, Chennai.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
