ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.07.2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471,109, 120(B) of IPC in Crime No.91 of 2025 pending on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.It is the case of impersonation and fabrication of records to cheat the defacto complainant, who is the owner of the property and who has now conveyed the property to one Thirumaran. The impersonator is still at large. This petitioner claims that he has purchased the property from one, the impersonator without knowing that he is impersonator. 3.When this Court asked the petitioner's Counsel whether he had original title deed to convey the property, the learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to answer in affirmative. 4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) submitted that this petitioner herein after creating a document in his favour through 2/4

impersonator and forgery, had sold the property to Thirumaran for consideration of Rs. 65 lakhs. The petitioner even during the enquiry did not furnish the particulars about the original document or the person who impersonator as Ranganathan for executing the sale deed in his favour.

5. Considering the modus operandi, this Court is not inclined to grant bail, since the petitioner herein could not identify his vendor and the document, which is alleged to have been fabricated need to be sent for Forensic Examination, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 22.08.2025 ari To 1.The Metropolitan Magistrate for Exclusive Trial of CCB Cases (Relating to Cheating Cases in Chennai) and CBCID Metro Cases, Egmore. 2.The Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai.
