O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by Mr.P.Thiemathaw seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to join duty in service as Panchayat Secretary in the third

respondent village Panchayat and to pay salary and other benefits from 13.12.2012 to the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned counsel who took notice on behalf of respondents 2 and 3.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is restricting his prayer only to the limited extent of considering the representation submitted by him to the first respondent dated 20.01.2016 within a reasonable time.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 20.01.2016 submitted by the petitioner, and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
