Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the name of the petitioner for the post of Town Survey Inspector under the 2nd respondent on the basis of the petitioner's representation and application dated 27.08.2015 and on the certificate dated 16.10.2015 issued by Tahsildar, Perambalur within the period stipulated by this Court.

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his name for the post of Town Survey Inspector under the second respondent based on his representation and application dated 27.08.2015 and on the certificate dated 16.10.2015 issued by the Tahsildar, Perambalur within the period stipulated by this Court.
3.It is the case of the petitioner that his grandfather by name PachamuthuMudaliar was holding a post of Panchayat President of Perambalur Panchayat and he gifted a land belonging
to him for the construction of a bus stand and the same was endorsed and appreciated by then Perambalur Panchayat vide resolution No.132 dated 30.08.1958 and also certified by the Revenue Tahsildar, Perambalur on 16.10.2015. Be that as it may, the petitioner being qualified for the post of Town Survey Inspector, made an application dated 27.08.2015 along with necessary documents. The second respondent called the petitioner for interview. Accordingly, the petitioner attended the same. 4.It is the further case of the petitioner that as per G.O.Ms.No.188 dated 28.12.1976, the family members of the person whose land was acquired by the Government for public purpose shall be considered in priority for employment. Accordingly, the petitioner is entitled for employment. However, the second respondent failed to consider his application and also neglected the petitioner from providing priority as enumerated under the above said G.O. Hence, the petitioner filed this writ petition for the above stated relief.
5.Heard Mr.R.Murali, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader who took notice for the respondents.
6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application and representation dated 27.08.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law and also in the light of the certificate dated 16.10.2015 issued by the Tahsildar, Perambalur, as expeditiously as possible.
7.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
