By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to release the Heavy Goods Vehicle 107 bearing Registration No.TN 20 Q 0024, which was seized by the Sub Inspector of Police, Salavakkam on 15.12.2015, by considering the representation dated 16.12.2015. 3.According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the owner of the Heavy Goods Vehicle 107 bearing Registration No.TN 20 Q 0024, which was seized and handed over to the second respondent on 15.12.2015 by the Sub Inspector of Police, Salavakkam on the ground that the same was used for the purpose of transporting sand illegally. The petitioner made a representation dated 16.12.2015 for release of the vehicle and the same is yet to be https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
disposed of by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court for the relief stated supra.
4.Mr.T.N.Rajagopalan, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, submitted that there is no proof available for service of such representation to the respondents.
5.In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, permits the petitioner to submit a copy of the representation dated 16.12.2015 seeking release of the vehicle in question along with the copy of this order to the respondents within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the respondents are directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks thereafter. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
