PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to direct the respondents to grant parole to the petitioner Chukwuemeka Damasus Chinedu @ Damas, son of Chukwuemeka Godwin, presently confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, as C.P.No.5758 for a period of 10 days from 10.12.2017 to 19.12.2017 to enable him to enroll himself in BVN process before the appropriate body at New Delhi authorized by the High Commission of Nigeria, New Delhi.

This Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant parole to the petitioner, presently confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, as C.P.No.5758 for a period of 10 days from 10.12.2017 to 19.12.2017 and the representation made by the petitioner dated 03.11.2017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the parole commencing date has been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous.

3. Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No Costs.
