This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for directing the respondents herein to pass suitable orders for providing police protection to the petitioner, while touring in and around Tamil Nadu, based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.10.2019.

2. In the representation dated 03.10.2019, the petitioner has sought for security arrangement for his intend tour programme between 10.10.2019 to 17.10.2019. The prayer in the present petition is for a direction to the Police to provide protection based on his representation dated 03.10.2019. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Apparently, the period for which, the petitioner has sought for protection has lapsed and hence, no effective orders can be passed in the present Original Petition. It would be useful to mention here that based on the petitioner's representation, the Director General of Police has also instructed all the Unit Officers through out the State of Tamil Nadu, wherein the petitioner intended to have a tour programme, to provide with necessary security and arrangement, which instructions have been produced before this Court.

3. In the light of the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition stands closed, with liberty to the petitioner to seek for any future request for such security.
