Prayer: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.PC, praying to direct the 1st respondent police to transfer the investigation to 2nd respondent police namely the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ranipet, Vellore District in Crime No.610 of 2019 dated 03.10.2019 pending on the file of the 3rd respondent police.

The ground on which the petitioner seeks for transfer of investigation is that initially the 3rd respondent herein had not register the petitioner's complaint and such registration was made only after the petitioner had invoked Section 156(3) of Cr.P.C. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no effective progress, after the FIR was registered.

2.In my view, such a ground may not be sufficient to transfer the investigation. Nevertheless, if the 3rd respondent is directed to complete the investigation, as expeditiously as possible and such an investigation be monitored by an higher official, the ends of justice could be secured.

3.In the light of the above observations, the 3rd respondent herein shall endeavour to complete the investigation, as expeditiously as possible. The 2nd respondent herein shall monitor such an investigation on a day to day basis.

4.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
