ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in S.T.C.No.47 of 2013 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate III, Cuddalore.

2. The respondent Police have registered a case and filed a final report against 20 accused persons for an offence under Sections 147, 447 and 427 of IPC.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the case is kept pending from the year 2013 onwards and the petitioner who has been added as A16 is unnecessarily being harassed and there is absolutely no progress in the case. The learned counsel for the petitioner would also submit that certain accused persons are absconding and therefore, the case is kept pending by the Court below.

4.In the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the Judicial Magistrate III, Cuddalore, to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

immediately split up the case and commence the proceedings insofar as the available accused persons are concerned. The proceedings shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the compliance report shall be filed before this Court immediately on the conclusion of the proceedings.
