This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to rectify the defect made in the petitioner E.P.F.Member ID No. GNGGN00055720002446625 and the E.P.F.No.0000481364 in the 2nd Respondent company in the petitioner UAN No.101655204942 and to direct the 2nd respondent to provide the service certificate to the petitioner.
2. The petitioner herein joined the second respondent Company/ HCL Technologies Limited, on 12.01.2021. The petitioner was employed only for 25 days i.e. till 07.02.2021 and he was paid salary for the month of January 2021 from 12th January to 31st January 2021 and for the month of February 2021, he was paid upto 7th of February 2021. While being so, Provident Fund facility was provided to him from the date of joining through the third respondent. The petitioner's E.P.F. I.D.no.is GNGGN00055720002446625 and the petitioner's E.P.F. No. is 0000481364 and UAN No is 10655204942.

The main grievance of the petitioner is that in the petitioner's member service history of E.P.F. account, the petitioner's date of joining is mentioned as 12.01.2021 and the date of exit is mentioned as 11.10.2021 instead of 07.02.2021. Meanwhile, the petitioner joined TATA Consultancy Services on 04.03.2021. Hence, for the period between 04.03.2021 to 11.10.2021, there is dual entry both in HCL and TATA companies for the petitioner. In order to rectify this defect, the petitioner made a representation, dated 7.12.2024, to the respondents 2 & 3. Till date, the same has not been considered and he also made a representation to the E.P.F. authorities to rectify the said defect on 17.07.2025. Since there has been no action taken in this regard, the petitioner has filed the present petition.
4. Learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the details submitted by the petitioner will be verified and action will be taken to rectify the same.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed before this Court.
6. Since the date of joining and date of exit are matter of records, the concerned records shall be verified and the representation of the petitioner dated
