Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to extend the Petitioner's validity period of Tamilnadu Teacher Eligibility Certificate who had passed in the Test conducted on August 2013 by the Second Respondent for a further period of four years validity as due to the pendency of various litigations before various Courts and also on account of the Second Respondent having failed to conduct the Tamilnadu Teacher Eligibility Test every year as required by the National Council for Teacher Education and consequently to grant preference in future appointments to the Petitioner who had passed in the August 2013 Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test to the postings as BT Assistants and Secondary Grade Teachers in the existing vacancies and anticipated vacancies in the Government and Government Aided Schools as per the 200 Point Roaster provided in the Schedule III to the General Rules for Tamil Nadu and Subordinate Services as far as the Petitioner is concerned. The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the Respondents to extend the validity period of Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Certificate of the Petitioner who had passed in the Test conducted by the Second Respondent on August 2013 for a further period of four years due to the pendency of various litigations before various Courts and also on account of the Second Respondent having failed to conduct Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test every year as required by the National Council for Teacher Education and consequently to grant preference in future appointments to the Petitioner who had passed in the Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test conducted on August 2013 to the postings as B.T. Assistants and Secondary Grade Teachers in the existing vacancies and anticipated vacancies in the Government and Government Aided Schools as per the 200 point roster provided in the Schedule III to the General Rules for Tamil Nadu and Subordinate Services as far as the Petitioner is concerned. 2.
Learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that as per G.O. Ms. No. 128, School Education Department (TRB), dated 23.08.2021, the validity of Teachers Eligibility Test certificate of the Petitioner had been perpetually extended and nothing remains for further consideration in this Writ Petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect in the court record.
In fine, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
