Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd and 4th respondents to survey and fix the boundaries for the land situated in old Survey number 18, new survey nuber 18/32 in Grama Natham Patta No.43 measuring an extent of 2.06 ares at V.Panchalam, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District based on the petition No.2025/N123/07/007218 dated 30/06/2025 within the stipulated time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.
ORDER
By consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the 3rd and 4th respondent to survey the land comprised in old Survey number 18, new survey number 18/32 in Grama Natham Patta No.43 measuring an extent of 2.06 ares at V.Panchalam, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that, originally the subject property belonged to petitioner's father based on the allotment made under a Government Scheme in the year 1998. After the demise of his father, the petitioner is in absolute possession of the subject property. It is submitted that the petitioner had made an application for conducting survey of the subject 2/6
property on 30.06.2025, vide application No.2021/N123/07/007218. Thereafter, petitioner made a representation dated 03.07.2025 to the respondents requesting survey the above property. However, the same is yet to be disposed of by the respondents. Hence, the present writ petition.
4. At the outset, it is submitted by the Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 4 that, they would consider the petitioner's application and conduct a survey and demarcate the subject lands, within a time frame, to be fixed by this Court.
5. In view thereof, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions:
i) The 3rd respondent shall consider the application dated 30.06.2025 in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owner and all other interested parties including rival claimants, if any. ii) Though facts have been set out extensively in the affidavit, this court does not propose to deal with it while leaving it open to the 3rd respondent to call for any document/conduct enquiry to satisfy itself of the petitioner's entitlement for requesting survey of subject property.
iii) The entire process shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks 3/6
from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy.
iv) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the 3rd respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. Rights and contentions of the petitioner and all other interested parties are left open.
6. There shall be no order as to costs.
