Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to forthwith remove the piled up garbage in the cremation ground, provide piped water supply and to restore the extent of 0.64.5 hectares of poramboke land in Survey No.7, Pozhichalur Village, Kancheepuram District, for public usage as cremation ground without any let or hindrance as mentioned in the Action Taken Report filed before the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in Petition No.680 of the year 1994-1995 by having a properly demarcated boundary wall on all the sides, along with proper maintenance of approach road, adequate lighting, levelling ensuring the safety and security of the people using the cremation and burial ground and thereby dispose of the representation given to the 1st Respondent dated 01.06.2015. O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The grievance of the petitioner is really related to civic services, maintenance of cremation ground, etc. These are all questions to be dealt with by local administration. In a democracy where there were elected representatives, it is their duty to take up such issues and not that the Court can monitor all such issues.

2.All that can be done by this Court is to direct that the representation of the petitioner dated 01.06.2015 may be examined by the first respondent and dealt with in accordance with law within a period of three (3) months from today. 3.Writ Petition stands disposed of.
