ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to receive the application dated 02.02.2016 for registration of the vehicle bearing Chassis No. MAT 455097 FFH 05044 and Engine No.497 SP 67 HUY 628016 as Light Motor Vehicle Omni Bus.

2. Mr.A.Zakir Hussain, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that since the petitioner has given an application for registering a vehicle as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Light Motor Vehicle Omni Bus, the same cannot be done and if the petitioner wises to register the vehicle as Light Motor Vehicle, the same can be registered by the respondent.

3. Mr.A.Ganesan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is willing to register the vehicle as Light Motor Vehicle and not as Omni Bus, though in the application the petitioner sought for registration of the vehicle as Light Motor Vehicle Omni Bus.

4. In these circumstances, I am of the view that the respondents can be directed to register the vehicle bearing Chassis and Engine number mentioned above as Light Motor Vehicle only.

5. Accordingly, I direct the first respondent to receive the application of the petitioner and forward the same to the second respondent. Further, I direct the second respondent to register the vehicle bearing Chassis No. MAT 455097 FFH 05044 and Engine No.497 SP 67 HUY 628016 as Light Motor Vehicle. With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
