(delivered by SATISH K. AGNIHOTRI, J.) Mr. N. Sampath, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice for the first respondent. Mrs. T.T. Girija, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice for the second respondent. With consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 27 January 2016 within a time frame. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner has addressed a representation dated 27 January 2016 to the Commissioner, Chennai Corporation with a copy marked to the Member Secretary, Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, the first respondent herein, pointing out the illegal and unauthorised constructions being carried out by two persons, viz., S. Vijayakumar and S. Karthikeyan, though they are not impleaded as party respondents herein.

In such an event, we cannot issue any direction, as sought by the petitioner. However, we reserve liberty to the petitioner to make a representation to the authority concerned, if so advised, within a period of one week. In the event, the petitioner makes a representation, the authority concerned is directed to consider the same in accordance with law and on its own merits, as expeditiously as possible, to avoid further complications.

The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. Costs made easy.
