Heard Mr. S.Jeganathan, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. U.Bharanidharan, Learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the First and Second Respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties. 2.

In view of the order proposed to be passed, which would not cause prejudice to the Third Respondent, notice to him is dispensed with. 3.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the First Respondent to dispose the appeal filed on 23.05.2023 by the Petitioner under Section 16 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007. 4.

Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the First and Second Respondents, on instructions, states that the said appeal would be taken up for hearing on 16.10.2023 by the First Respondent and it is expected to be disposed within a period of 30 days thereafter. 2/4

Having regard to the aforesaid submissions made, it shall be incumbent upon the First Respondent, after affording full opportunity of hearing to all parties concerned following the prescribed procedure in consonance with the principles of natural justice, to deal with each of the contentions raised in the said appeal and pass reasoned orders on merits and in accordance with law and communicate the decision taken to the concerned parties under written acknowledgment.
