For Petitioner ..

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed by Mr.P.Saravanan seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to permit him to join duty as a consolidated pay worker as per the representations of the petitioner dated 03.05.2012, 10.01.2013, 12.11.2013, 09.06.2014, 10.11.2014, 18.03.2015 and 07.09.2015. 2.
Mr.S.Doraisamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed as consolidated pay worker on payment of Rs.5,000/- per month on 01.07.2010 and he joined duty on the same day. However, he went on leave as he fell ill in December 2011. After he recovered from illness, he obtained fitness certificate from the Medical Officer and then requested the respondent to permit him to join duty. But the respondent asked him to give the request in writing. Hence, the petitioner made representations on several days.
However, there is no response from the respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition.

3.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 4.
This Court is not able to find any merit in this Writ Petition. The reason is that on 01.07.2010 only, the petitioner joined duty as consolidated pay worker on payment of Rs.5,000/- per month and went on leave as he fell ill in December 2011. This Court is of the view that without seeking proper permission, the petitioner ought not to have gone on leave under the guise of illness, hence it is not open to him to join duty, after obtaining fitness certificate from the Medical Officer. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this Writ Petition and the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
