AA Ni 2/58802/2016 dated 31.08.2016 in rejecting the request of the Petitioner for the voluntary retirement from service and quash the same and direct the Petitioner to permit to go on Voluntary Retirement from service with effect from 25.09.2017 within short date that may be fixed by this Court.

The Writ Petition has been filed challenging the Order No. Ve. AA Ni 2/58802/2016 dated 31.08.2016 passed by the First Respondent rejecting the request of the Petitioner for voluntary retirement from service and to consequently direct the Respondents to permit the Petitioner to voluntarily retire from service with effect from 25.09.2017.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that the Petitioner has retired from service on 31.04.2018 after attaining the age of superannuation and the relief sought in the Writ Petition does not remain for consideration. She has also made an endorsement to that effect in the court record. In fine, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
