The petitioners, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 420, 506(ii) r/w 34 IPC in Cr.No.155 of 2022, seek anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners are family members alleged to have conducted chit and cheated the defacto complainant to the tune of Rs.25,00,000/-. Hence the case. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioners have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and they have been falsely implicated in this case. Hence prays for grant of anticipatory bail.

4.Mr.V.Balamurugane, learned Public Prosecutor, Pondicherry would submit that the petitioners are family members alleged to have conducted chit and cheated the defacto complainant to the tune of

Rs.25,00,000/-. He would submit that sofar the respondent police have received 10 complaints against the petitioners. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioners and that sofar many complaints have been received against them, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and this case requires a detailed investigation.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 21.12.2022 anu
