ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent to provide sufficient police protection to us and our profession from the respondents 4 and 5, who are restraining us from plying the taxis in international terminals of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Chennai Airport.

2.It is seen that the petitioners are the members of Chennai Airport Pre-paid Meter Taxi Owner-Driver Union. The respondents 4 and 5 are also Secretary and President of the said union. There is a dispute between the members of the union. Further, the petitioners are also office bearers of the association and thereafter, the respondents 4 and 5 were elected as Secretary and the President of the said association. There is a dispute between them in respect of plying their Taxi in the international premises of Chennai Airport. Therefore, there is a civil dispute between them and they have to approach the concerned civil Court for appropriate relief. Accordingly police protection cannot be granted. The petitioners are at liberty to approach the Civil Court for appropriate relief.

3.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
