Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of certiorarified mandamus to call for the entire records relating to the impugned order passed by the second respondent in his Ref.:No.BU/E3/Thirumalai/4355/2012, dated 08.05.2012 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to give notional promotion for the petitioner's monetary benefits to the post of Deputy Registrar together with arrears for increments.

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition challenging the impugned proceedings dated 08.05.2012 of the second respondent. While passing the impugned order, the Registrar has made it clear that in view of the interim stay and interim injunction obtained by the Bharathiar University SC/ST Staff Welfare Association in WMP No.33272/2002 in W.P.No.24200/2002 and WMP No.32273/2002 in W.P.No.24200/2002, dated 25.11.2002 preventing the University from making any nonteaching staff appointment/promotion, they were unable to consider the request of the petitioner. In the meanwhile, the petitioner has also retired from service. Subsequently, the writ petition No.24200/02 was also dismissed as withdrawn. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Hence, in view of such reasoning as stated above, the prayer of the petitioner to give promotion cannot be entertained by this Court. Accordingly, the writ petition fails and the same is dismissed as devoid of any merit. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
