ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent for the offences punishable under Sections 115(2), 296 and 85 of BNS, in Crime No.12 1 / 4

of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that there is a matrimonial dispute wherein grave allegations of demand of dowry and cruelty have been made. Hence, the case.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the defacto complainant and the petitioner have decided to settle the dispute amicably through mediation.

4. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail. However, if the petitioner herein is really interested in settling the dispute with his wife, who is the defacto complainant, it is always open to him to pursue mediation, and if any such progressive mediation occurs, it may be reported by the petitioner herein to the respondent police.
