ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 174 of Cr.P.C @ 304(ii), 120-B, 201 r/w 109 IPC and Sections 4(1)(i), 4(1-A) of TNP Act r/w Section 7 of Tamil Nadu Denatured Spirit Methyl Alcohol and Varnish (French Polish) Rules 1959 in Crime No.420 of 2024, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.

When the matter was earlier listed before this Court on 23.09.2025, there was no representation for the petitioner and even today, there is no representation for the petitioner. 3.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent while opposing the anticipatory bail to the petitioner submits that the petitioner along with other accused involved in illegal selling of illicit arrack regard to the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy. 4.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the nature of allegation, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the 2/4

petitioner.
