With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. Heard Mr.R.Jayaprakash, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. This writ petition has been filed praying to direct the respondents 1 and 2, to take appropriate and necessary action, against the third respondent, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 17/2/2016.

4. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner had retired from Chennai Corporation. While he was in service, he contributed Rs.55,200/-, from 7/12/1996 to 29/4/20012, towards a scheme called Tamil Nadu Government Staff Housing Scheme. On 20/10/2009, a plot was allotted to the petitioner, but till date nothing has been registered in his name. Hence the petitioner had sent a detailed representation dated 17/2/2016, to the second respondent, for taking action against the third respondent. Since the second respondent has not taken any action, the petitioner has come up with the present writ petition.

5. Without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, the second respondent is hereby directed, to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 17/2/2016, and pass an appropriate order, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, by affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, as well as to all the necessary parties concerned, including the third respondent. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim of the petition.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
