(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) Undoubtedly in this case the application has not been received by the respondents for exemption from taking Tamil examination, but then, on principles of similarly situated who may not have approached the Court, we have granted relief in the batch of writ petitions, being W.P.Nos.8837 of 2016, etc., dated 14.03.2016. Since the petitioner approached the respondents on 03.03.2016, she would, thus, be covered with that part of the direction. However, the Mother, as the guardian who has filed the petition today, tells us that she would like the candidate to take the examination and does not want to press the petition. 2.We are not sure whether she has done this with the consent of the child or under some other apprehension. We, thus, permit to exercise the option by 5.00 p.m., in case if she so chooses, while permitting her to withdraw the writ petition. Endorsement is made.
3.Writ Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn in the aforesaid terms. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.7939 of 2016 stands dismissed.
