With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 08.02.2016 in Appl. No.1262/2015 and direct the third respondent to issue ration card at the earliest.

3. The petitioner is residing at No.237, Nehru street, Tindivanam. The petitioner has applied for ration card with the third respondent on 17.11.2015 under application bearing No.1262 of 2015 along with all necessary documents. The same was accepted by the third respondent and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

acknowledgment has also been issued to the petitioner. But, the third respondent failed to consider the said application. Thereafter, the petitioner sent a representation on 08.02.2016 to the respondents to consider his earlier application. But, till date, no action has been taken by the third respondent to issue the ration card. Hence, he has come forward with the present writ petition.

4. Heard the submissions of learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

Considering the facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.11.2015 in Appl. No.1262/2015 and pass an appropriate order, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as to the necessary parties, if any.

6. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
