ORDER

The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner T.Ayyappan, seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of his representations dated 22.01.2016 and 11.02.2016 as expeditiously as possible.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has entered into service under the respondents in the Collegiate Education Department as a direct recruit for the post of Junior Assistant on 05.02.1982 through a selection conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. The petitioner has been working as Bursar under the respondents and he is going to retire from service on 31.03.2016. According to him, the said post Bursar is equivalent to the post of Assistant Director or P.A. to the Director in the department of Collegiate Education. Following the Government Orders dated 01.08.1992 and 10.04.1996, one M.Samuel, who was earlier working as Assistant Director in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the office of the Director of Collegiate Education, was given promotion and he was posted as Deputy Director (Administration). Before the retirement of said M.Samuel, the respondents have appointed the persons viz. one N.Srinivasan, S.M.P.S.Khader Mohideen and S.Thirunavukarasu as Deputy Directors (Administration) in the department of Collegiate Education. All these persons, who were working as Bursars, have been given due promotion before their retirement as Deputy Director. Therefore, as the petitioner is going to retire from service on 31.03.2016, he has given representation dated 22.01.2016 and the same has been acknowledged by the respondents. Though the same has not been considered by them, the petitioner is before this Court. 3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4.Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2016 and 11.02.2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
