With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition seeking for issuance of mandamus to direct the third respondent to consider petitioner's application dated 23.12.2015 in Application No.2408/23.12.2015 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

3.The petitioner applied for new ration card and sent her application along with all necessary documents to the third respondent on 16.12.2015. On 17.12.2015, the third respondent received the application vide application No.2408/23.12.2015. Thereafter, the petitioner approached the third respondent for several times and requested for issuance of new ration card, but the third respondent has not taken any steps to issue the ration card. Hence, the petitioner filed the present writ petition. 4.Heard the submissions of learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 16.12.2015 in application No.2408/23.12.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as to the necessary parties, if any.
