The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 123 of BNS 2023 and Section 24(1) of Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003, in Crime No.156 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The petitioner herein abandoned the car and fled when the police intercepted the vehicle. On searching the vehicle, the respondent police found 220 kgs of banned tobacco products. The petitioner herein has got four similar cases against him.

3. Considering the antecedents of the petitioner and the quantity of contraband seized, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 18.08.2025 dna 2/4
