When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the contraband involved in this case is a commercial quantity and the case is pending trial in C.C.No.110 of 2022 on the file of the I Additional Special Court for NDPS Act cases, Chennai. He would further submit that there are 15 witnesses and the matter stands posted on 25.11.2022 before the trial Court and the respondent would be able to complete the trial at the earliest and vehemently opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

2. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner prays before this Court that a direction may be issued to the trial Judge to complete the trial within a stipulated time.

3. Considering the submissions, the learned trial Judge is directed to complete the trial in C.C.No.110 of 2022 within a period of 6 months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
