O R D E R

By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to cancel the patta issued in the name of 3rd respondent and restore the same in the name of the petitioner.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the property with an extent of 0.71 cents in patta No.65, S.No.24 in Serappanancheri Village, Kundrathur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, originally belonged to his paternal grandfather viz., Raja Gopal Raja and patta No.66 was issued in his name. After death of the petitioner's paternal grandfather, petitioner's father Jeganatha Raja is the only legal heir of his estate. In the meantime, the 3rd respondent's name was wrongly entered in the revenue records under UDR scheme in respect of the property of the petitioner's family. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 23.03.2023 before the first 2/5

respondent seeking deletion of the 3rd respondent's name from the revenue records and enter the name of the petitioner's family and the same has not been considered. Hence, he is before this Court.

4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents would submit that representation of the petitioner dated 23.03.2023 will be considered by the 1st respondent on its own merits in accordance with law.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.03.2023 and pass final orders on its' own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order after issuing necessary notice to the petitioner and the 3rd respondent. 3/5

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
