The petition has been filed under Section 372 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925, seeking succession certificate relating to the securities in the name of B.Venkatachalam, who died intestate on 11.08.2015.

The 1st petitioner is his widow and the petitioners 2 and 3 are his sons. The legal heirship certificate has been issued to that effect. 3.

After following due procedures, the petitioners were directed to tender evidence and the 2nd petitioner examined himself as P.W.1. He marked Ex.P1, death certificate of his father and Ex.P2 - legal heirship certificate. Exs.P3, P8 - P20 are the documents relating to the share certificates in the name of the deceased.
