The petitioner seeks bail in C.C.No.46 of 2023 in which had been taken cognizance by the I Additional Special Judge for exclusive trial of cases under NDPS Act, Chennai, in Crime No.197 of 2022. 2.The petitioner has been taken into custody on 18.07.2023 for the offence under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act and he had been granted bail. But unfortunately, he did not attend the Sessions Court and Non Bailable Warrant has been issued on 04.05.2023 and the same was executed on 18.07.2023.

3.The petitioner has filed an application to recall the warrant and the same was dismissed by the trial Court holding that the petitioner is a single accused and there is every possibility of the petitioner absconding again.

4.Let the trial progress and thereafter, if there is any change of circumstances, the application for bail can be considered. 5.At this stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
