This application is filed seeking to extend the time by six months from 21.09.2019 for passing an award in the present Arbitration Proceedings.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on both sides.

3. From the proceedings of the Arbitral Tribunal, it is seen that the claim petitions were filed and interim orders were passed by the Arbitrator under Section 17 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. It is now stated that the arbitration proceedings are at the stage of framing of issues. As the mandate of the Tribunal has expired, the parties have prayed for extension of time for conclusion of arbitration proceedings.

4. With the consent of learned counsel appearing on both sides, time for completion of the arbitration proceedings and to pass an Arbitral Award is extended by six months finally from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the parties are directed to co-operate for completion of the proceedings and enable the tribunal to pass an award within a period of six months.
