Heard Mr. P.Balathandayutham, Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties. 2.

matter is called at 12.12 p.m. today.

The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the Respondents to consider and dispose the mercy petition dated 26.10.2017 filed by the Petitioner within a time limit fixed by this Court.

The Respondents have filed Counter-Affidavit dated 30.12.2019 in which it has been stated that the mercy petition filed by the Petitioner has been disposed by G.O. (D) No. 330, Home (Pol.VI) Department dated 27.03.2019 and it copy has been placed on record. In view of the subsequent evens after the filing of the Writ Petition, nothing remains for further consideration in this Writ Petition, but if the Petitioner still has any grievance to be redressed, he is not precluded from working out his rights before the proper forum in the manner recognized by law.
In fine, the Writ Petition is disposed with the aforesaid observations. No costs.
