ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the proceedings dated 18.10.2022, authorising one of the council member to sign the cheque to meet out the imminent expenditure to be incurred by the Village Panchayat to cater to the needs of the civic amenities without even taking any steps to elect the Vice President, and quash the same.

2. At this juncture, Mr.Sivashanmugam, appearing for the second respondent State Election Commission, produced before us the notification issued by the second respondent dated 24.11.2022, notifying election to the said village panchayat, and that the grievance of the petitioner has been addressed by the Government through this notification. A copy of the said notification has

also been handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Since the prayer sought for by the petitioner has now been addressed, nothing remains for adjudication. This writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, WMP Nos.31006 and 31008 of 2022 are closed. (T.R., ACJ.)
