ORDER

The Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition has been filed by the petitioner/wife seeking transfer of IDOP.No.91 of 2025 from the file of 1/4

the Principal District Court, Cuddalore to the file of the Principal District Court, Villupuram.

2. Heard the arguments of learned counsel on either side.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that she is residing at Anandapuram Post, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District within the jurisdictional limits of Principal District Court, Villupuram. She expressed difficulty in undertaking long travel to Cuddalore for the purpose of court hearing and hence seeks transfer. 4.

It is settled law that in cases of matrimonial dispute, the preference shall be given to the convenience of wife. 5.

In the case on hand, the petitioner / wife is residing at Anandapuram Post, Gingee Taluk, Villupruam District, within the jurisdictional limits of Principal District Court, Villupuram and Cuddalore is about 640 km away from her residence.

6. Taking into consideration the long distance and also the fact that the petitioner is residing within jurisdictional limits of Principal 2/4

District Court, Villupuram, this Court is inclined to allow the transfer petition.

7. Accordingly, the Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed and I.D.O.P.No.91 of 2025 pending on the file of the Principal District Court, Cuddalore is transferred to the Principal District Court, Villupuram. No costs. Consequently, the connected civil miscellaneous petition is closed.
