Lavanya v. The Government Of Tamil Nadu

2019-10-18Honourable Mr Justice M.S. Ramesh2 pages

W.M.P.No.29523 of 2019 in W.P.No.22354 of 2019 M.S.RAMESH,J.

Though the petitioner was not entitled for grant of leave, since he had not completed two years of his imprisonment, this Court had taken a lenient view and granted 15 days of leave, by the order dated 20.09.2019, on the ground that the petitioner requires to dispose of the property to meet the exigencies for their children's education.

2.Today, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks for extension of the time stating that an agreement of sale was entered to have the property sold on 31.10.2019.

3.In view of the agreement entered into on condition that the sale requires to be registered on or before 31.10.2019, this Court is of the view that one more sympathetic consideration could be extended to the petitioner herein. Accordingly, the leave granted to the petitioner, by this Court on 20.09.2019, shall stand extended till 01.11.2019. It is made clear that no further extension of time shall be granted.
