COMMON PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records in the impugned notice in RDC No.G1/5528/2012 dated 14.07.2017 on the file of the first respondent issued under Section 104 of the Madras City Municipal Corporation Act IV of 1919 and quash the same and direct the first respondent herein to keep restrained from initiating any action under the provisions of the Madras City Municipal Corporation Act for Closure of the premises namely No.B-14, Gemini Parson Complex, first floor, Nungambakkam, Chennai 600 006 under the petitioner occupation.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the property tax demanded in the impugned proceedings has already been paid by the owner of the subject property.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is only a tenant, who has already vacated the property.

4. In view of the submissions made, no effective adjudication is required in the present case, since the property tax, as per the demand, has already been collected by the respondents.
