Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner/Company submitted that based on the Scheme of Amalgamation, the petitioner/Company had paid the Stamp Duty @ 2% of the market value of the immovable properties. However, the respondents did not release the Deed of Transfer of Immovable Properties in respect of Amalgamation dated 03.04.2019 and 03.05.2019 pending as Document No.P/Kumarapalayam/10/2019 and the Document No.P/Kumarapalayam/15/2019 respectively.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that pending this writ petition itself, the registered documents in respect of Amalgamation dated 03.04.2019 and 03.05.2019 vide Document No.P/Kumarapalayam/10/2019 and the Document No.P/Kumarapalayam/15/2019, have been registered and the same were handed over to the petitioner/Company. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition.

Recording the above submissions made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
